With broken hearts and deep sorrow, the family of Nolan Philip Haugen announces his sudden and tragic passing on May 11, 2026, as the result of a motor vehicle accident near the family farm. Nolan’s death has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, coworkers, teammates, and the many people fortunate enough to know and love him. He was 26 years old.
Born on March 16, 2000, to Tim and Patti Haugen, Nolan grew up surrounded by the love of a close-knit family and strong community connections. From a young age, he was known for his bright personality, infectious laughter, and the ability to make people feel welcomed and appreciated wherever he went. His warmth and humor left lasting impressions on everyone he encountered.
Nolan will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents, Tim and Patti; his siblings, Mike (Jenn), Colby (Rileigh), and Sophia and her boyfriend Joel; his nephew Declan; and the anticipated arrival of another niece or nephew already cherished by the family. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Madi, grandparents Bev and Dan, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, teammates, coworkers, and countless close friends.
Education and hard work were important parts of Nolan’s life. He attended school in Kenaston, LCBI, and later Sask Polytech, where he earned his certification as a Journeyman Mechanic. Nolan took tremendous pride in his work at Young’s Equipment in Davidson, where he was respected not only for his skill and dedication but also for the friendships he built along the way. Coworkers remember him as an outstanding mechanic with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help anyone who needed it.
Yet beyond his accomplishments, Nolan will perhaps be remembered most for the joy he brought into the lives of others. He had a natural gift for making people laugh and brightening every room he entered. Whether through jokes, stories, or simple everyday moments, Nolan had a way of lifting spirits and helping others see the good in difficult situations.
Family meant everything to him. Nolan especially treasured being a brother and uncle, roles he embraced with love and pride. Some of the family’s most cherished memories came through hockey, a sport Nolan loved deeply. The opportunity for all three brothers to play together created moments that his loved ones will hold close forever — memories filled with camaraderie, laughter, competition, and love.
As his family grieves this unimaginable loss, they also celebrate the life Nolan lived and the impact he made on so many people. Though his life was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Nolan’s Life will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Outlook, Saskatchewan, where loved ones will gather to honor, remember, and celebrate the remarkable person he was.
