Born on July 26, 1995, in Paynesville, Minnesota, Dalton grew up embracing the outdoors and all the experiences that came with it. From a young age, he found joy in camping trips, hockey games, baseball, motocross racing, hunting, and fishing. Those early years created the foundation for a life centered around family, friendship, and a deep appreciation for nature and adventure.
Dalton graduated from Paynesville High School in 2013 before attending Wadena State and Community Technical College, where he pursued training as an electrical lineman. He went on to build a successful and respected career in the utility industry, proudly working for TelCom Construction as an Aerial Supervisor for the past nine years. His dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to safety and excellence made him a valued member of his team.

Outside of his career, Dalton’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for the outdoors led him to pursue various passions. He guided hunting and fishing excursions, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the land and water with others. His deep connection to rural life was also reflected in his ownership and operation of Stang Livestock Beef Sales, a venture that exemplified his determination, ambition, and love of farming and livestock.
Dalton’s passions extended to horses, roping, and spending time hunting pheasants, geese, ducks, and deer. Many of his favorite moments were early mornings and late nights spent fishing on the water, where he felt most at peace and most himself. For Dalton, the outdoors was more than a hobby — it was a vital part of his identity and a source of joy and tranquility.
Friends and family will forever remember Dalton for his infectious laugh, quick wit, endless jokes, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone around him.
